Ce fut la plus belle. Dans les années ‘60, on voulait toutes lui ressembler. Aucune autre actrice ne marchait comme elle, ne parlait comme elle, ne chantait comme elle,ne bougeait comme elle, ne vivait comme elle.
Les plus beaux hommes étaient à son bras et parfois dans son lit, les autres en rêvaient. Elle était nonchalante, libre, terriblement libre. Elle avait tous les talents. Comme Marilyn, personne n’arrivait à l’imiter, à lui prendre sa place.
C’était Brigitte Bardot, l’unique.
Je ne suis pas certaine que les jeunes générations savent bien ce qu’elle a représenté réellement.
C’est aujourd’hui une dame qui vieillit mal selon certains, qui vieillit courageusement et bien selon moi.
Quand on a eu ce visage et ce corps-là, il faut beaucoup de sagesse et de hauteur d’esprit pour passer par dessus les changements et voir au delà de l’image, s’accepter et s’assumer. Elle a le regard aimant des centaines d’animaux dont elle prend soin, ça doit lui suffire. Dieu sait ce que le regard d’un chien ou d’un chat a de compatissant!
Pour cela, chapeau Madame!

Pablo Neruda on love
Of all the inspirational people that nowadays cross my path, one is Christine Kysely, a FaceBook « friend » I discovered a while ago. I don’t know who she is, what she does in life. But I know everytime she posts something, it’s always absulutely magic and special. She has a great eye and a huge sense of « image » whatever that means.
So, here is one of her morning glory, a famous poem by Pablo Neruda. And, by the way, I do hope you saw the wonderful « IL POSTINO » film a while back ago. If not…rent it. It’s on the top of my (long) list of must-see-films. He was totally a romantic, the kind I love.

UGGIE (The Artist) aussi nominé à Hollywood!
En route vers la gloire. Après Lassie, RinTinTin et Milou, voici UGGIE!
Uggie, le petit chien du film muet The Artist, a éclipsé mercredi ses compagnons bipèdes en étant nominé deux fois mercredi pour la première édition des «Colliers d’or» d’Hollywood, réservée aux chiens.
Uggie a été nominé deux fois comme «Meilleur chien dans un film» pour sa prestation dans Water for Elephants (avec Reese Witherspoon et Robert Pattinson) et dans The Artist, le film français qui semble bien engagé dans la course aux Oscars, qui se disputera en février à Hollywood.
Uggie sera en compétition avec Cosmo (Beginners), Denver (50/50) et Hummer (Young Adult) pour la statuette hollywoodienne en forme d’os.
La liste des chiens nominés pour la première édition des Colliers d’or, organisés par la revue Dog News Daily, a été présentée au théâtre Egipcio d’Hollywood par Uggie lui-même et l’une des actrices du film The Artist, Penelope Ann Miller.
«Nous sommes enchantés que Penelope et Uggie annoncent les nominés des Colliers d’or», a déclaré le président de la revue, Alan Siskind.
La compétition, qui se déroulera le 13 février à Los Angeles, récompensera également le «Meilleur chien dans les films étrangers» et le «Meilleur chien de Série de télévision».
The Artist, du metteur en scène français Michel Hazanavicius, a été couronné dimanche par les Golden Globes de la meilleure comédie, du meilleur acteur de comédie (pour le rôle de Jean Dujardin) et de la meilleure bande sonore.
Uggie avait déjà gagné l’an dernier au festival de Cannes le prix non officiel de la «Palme du chien».

Actors never die…
Watching ROME ADVENTURE on TV. A 1962 I had seen when it came out. And I still think about it at times when I hear the theme song: « AL DI LÀ » who also crossed Time with grace.
SUZANNE PLESHETTE, TROY DONAHUE, ROSANNO BRAZZI, ANGIE DICKINSON. First three are dead. Last one disapeared from the cameras a while ago. All born in the early ‘30.
Wonderful, light and romantic film where they are still so present, so much alive! Rome and Lago Magiore are still the same. Fashion is still up-to-date. They are young, eternal.
That’s the magic of cinematography. And that’s why I love it so much.
It freezes time. And make them Timeless…

Quand le cinéma inspire la mode
Je tombe sur cette photo d’un défilé ALEXANDER MCQUEEN le Magnifique, prise en 2004. On dirait une scène du film « They shoot horses, don’t they? » ce drame superbe dont on ne sort pas indemne tant cela touche le désespoir humain. Avec une Jane Fonda inoubliable.
Cette photo fait partie d’une expo au FASHION AND TEXTILE MUSEUM à Londres (jusqu’en février) et c’est une belle idée. Le titre: « From Catwalk to Cover » nous donne à voir les coulisses des défilés.
En plus, l’endroit est charmant.
